Welcome to the NASA Space Apps Challenge – Haifa 2026 Local Event, hosted at the Technion!

This event is open to everyone – no matter which university you study at, what degree you're pursuing (or whether you're a student at all). We welcome undergrads, grad students, and PhD candidates from every institution, alongside industry professionals, academic researchers, and simply curious, driven people who want to build something meaningful with NASA's open data.

Whatever your background – engineering, medicine, computer science, design, business, or something entirely different – if you're passionate about space, science, and innovation, there's a place for you here.

02 — How to join

The NASA Space Apps Challenge – Haifa 2026 Local Event is a selected event. Registration on the official NASA Space Apps website is only open to approved applicants — so the path runs through this page first.

    Attend the info session

    August 26, 19:00 IDT, online. Learn what the event is, who can take part, and how the process works. Register with the button above.

  2. 02

    Submit your application

    Our dedicated application form will be published on this landing page after the info session. Applications close October 5, 2026 at 23:59.

  3. 03

    Wait for our decision

    We review every application. We'll follow up with everyone who applied — whether accepted or not — by October 12, 11:00.

  4. 04

    Register on the official site

    Accepted applicants receive next steps and an invitation to register for the event on the official NASA Space Apps website, confirming their spot.

Registration on the official NASA Space Apps website is only open to approved applicants. Before you can register there, you must first submit an application through our dedicated form on this landing page.

Only applicants who are approved after this review will be invited to register for the event on the official site.

    Application deadline

    This is the deadline to apply — not a guaranteed spot. Submitting your application by this date means you'll be considered in our selection process. Make sure to apply on time.

  3. Mon, October 12 11:00

    Selection results announced

    We'll follow up with everyone who applied — whether accepted or not — by this date. Accepted applicants will receive next steps to confirm their spot.

    The main event, on campus in Haifa. Build something meaningful with NASA's open data.
